  • About

Patatas bravas are typically some format of crisp potato chunks served with a red sauce and a white sauce for dipping or swiping. It is frequently noted on menus that the red sauce is spicy, as “bravas” can mean ferocious, angry, or brave. Piquant, perhaps, but to the American palate, the sauce is neither ferocious nor angry, and definitely not spicy.
