Tiny and pretty, these little rose jam–stuffed rugelach are found in Poland with or without an almond paste filling. The flavor combination is one I was surprised to find in Poland and one that I’d never seen in American rugelach. Rather, I’d always associated rose and almond with a Moroccan corne de gazelle or a Persian love cake, not a Polish or Ashkenazi cookie, but I had to track these down after my friend Dominika told me about eating these with tea on Jewish holidays
