  • lb. rump or fillet beef
  • 2 oz. onion, finely chopped

Method

Cut steak into ½ in. slices. Season to taste with freshly ground black pepper. Sauté onions in half the butter until they are lightly brown, add the sliced beef and sauté for 5 minutes, turning pieces so that all sides are brown. Remove from pan and keep warm.
